It's been a while! Here's what's going on.
Wow, a whole year without posting anything about FTWA on Itch, really crazy how time can fly by in the blink of an eye, well, I think you guys deserve an explanation as to why.
I'm pretty reserved when it comes to posting anything online, and sometimes I'll go weeks or even months without checking my socials, but, if you haven't yet, I'd recommend following https://twitter.com/ayumidev?lang=en as that is where I've been most active lately. I can go long periods of time without checking anything, but I always love to respond to comments and answer questions, so feel free to ask me anything there!
Now you might be wondering how's the game coming along? And the answer is, well, kinda mixed. Progress was going pretty good until around April last year, but I started not liking a lot of my ideas for the project, and also my way of implementing them. So I decided to put the game off to the side and try to think of what I actually wanted the game to be, and try to make myself a better game designer while I thought. That break from the game lasted until around November, but I'm happy to announce, that progress on the game is back on track! development has been very consistent (to my slow standards at least) and that I have really been enjoying how it is coming along! The project is currently going in a different direction than the original FTWA, but this direction really goes off what people liked about the original. I'm not gonna make any promises, but I may share some details on things soon!
Lastly, I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone who is still supporting this game! Seeing names like Matpat and ManlyBadass play Ayumi is truly amazing to me as these are people I've enjoyed watching for years, all you guys truly inspired me to want to work hard to make games people love! It sounds clichΓ©, but you guys are the best support system I've ever had in my life, and seeing people be invested, laughing, and getting freaked out by my game really puts a big smile on my face. So thank you all so much! And hopefully, I'll be putting something out soon :)
